To create a faux hawk, simply apply some thick pomade-like styling product to the sides of your hair. This product should have a very strong hold because it will keep your faux hawk in place. Then create 2-3 pony tails along the top of your head. You can then tease, straighten, and apply product to each of these sections in order to create a hawk with lots of length. After you have finished styling each section of your hair, you can gradually add an increasing amount of hairspray. This will help keep your hawk in place.

The best part about a faux hawk is that when you’re ready to take it down, all you have to do is jump in the shower! Who needs a true Mohawk when you can create a faux hawk that is versatile and looks just as radical!
